The Texans could draft Clowney here but I don't think he has proven to have the motor to justify being the number one pick. It is all about the quarterback and Bridgewater is the safest at the position to draft number one overall.
2 St. Louis Rams Greg Robinson OT-Auburn
The Rams play against the 49ers and Seahawks who rush the passer very well. Greg Robinson will help negate that for the Rams in that very tough NFC West.
3 Jacksonville Jaguars Jadeveon Clowney DE- South Carolina
The Jags could go quarterback here but I expect them to give Gabbert one more season. Clowney if he can be motivated to play hard could be a NFL pass rushing beast and the Jags won't pass him up.
4 Cleveland Browns Johnny Manziel QB- Texas A&M
The Browns will pull the trigger on Johnny Football and hope he is mature and good enough to be a franchise quarterback.
5 Oakland Raiders Blake Bortles QB- Central Florida
Bortles falls to the Raiders in this 2014 NFL mock draft and they won't pass him up. The Raiders know a good quarterback can make up for other issues on the team.
6 Atlanta Falcons Jake Matthews OT- Texas A&M
Like the Rams the Falcons play in a division of pass rushers. Matthews will help a pathetic offensive line of the Falcons.
7 TampaBay Buccaneers Anthony Barr LB-UCLA
This is a pick make on potential and Anthony Barr has plenty of it. Barr only played one year of defense in college so he is raw but very talented.
8 Minnesota Vikings Khalil Mack LB- Buffalo
The Vikings may well try to move up for one of the top three quarterbacks or down a few spots to pick Carr. If the Vikings hold in place then Zimmer will want a pass rushing linebacker and Mack fits the bill.
9 Buffalo Bills Taylor Lewan OT- Michigan
The Bills could go skill position on offense here but it all starts up front and Lewan is the best tackle left on the board in my 2014 NFL mock draft.
10 Detroit Lions Sammy Watkins WR- Clemson
The Lions need a weapon opposite of Megatron and another skilled wideout will help their quarterback prove he was worth all that money.
11 Tennessee Titans Marqise Lee WR- USC
The Titans need somebody to do what Kenny Britt never did and Lee is a good pick here.
12 New York Giants Timmy Jernigan DT- Florida State
The Giants will go offensive tackle if a good one falls but their once vaunted defensive line got old. Jernigan will fit in nicely here.
13 St. Louis Rams Ha Ha Clinton-Dix S- Alabama
The man with the funny name will stiffen up the secondary for the Rams for years to come.
With Charles Tillman possibly leaving as a free agent the Bears draft the best corner still on the board in my 2014 mock draft.
15 Pittsburgh Steelers Mike Evans WR-Texas A&M
The Steelers get a big time target for Big Ben to throw to.
16 Baltimore Ravens Kelvin Benjamin WR-Florida State
The Ravens jump on the best wideout left in a draft that has some nice ones.
17 Dallas Cowboys Calvin Pryor S-Louisville
The Cowboys could go pass rusher here but Pryor would be hard to pass up.
18 New York Jets Eric Ebron TE- North Carolina
The Jets could go WR here but Ebron is going to be a special player and probably does not hang out in parking lots like Kellen Winslow.
19 Miami Dolphins Zack Martin OT- Notre Dame
The Dolphins desperately need offensive linemen who don't bully or be bullied so Martin is a no brainer here.
20 Arizona Cardinals Cyrus Kouandjio OL- Alabama
Kouandjio can play right away for the Arizona Cardinals who struggle to block on offense.
21 Green Bay Packers Louis Nix DT- Notre Dame
Nix is a solid pick here for a Packers team that needs defense in the worst way.
22 Philadelphia Eagles CJ Mosley LB- Alabama
The eagles could go with a defensive back here but if Mosley is here he will shore up a bad linebacking unit.
23 Kansas City Chiefs Odell Beckham WR- LSU
The Chiefs need offensive skill weapons in the worst way and Beckham is the best still around in my 2014 NFL mock/
24 Cincinnati Bengals Ryan Shazier LB- Ohio State
Shazier stays close to where he played his college ball as he joins the Bengals and a new defensive coordinator.
25 San Diego Chargers Bradley Roby CB- Ohio State
The Chargers address their biggest need with cornerback Roby who should start right away.
26 Cleveland Browns Jordan Matthews WR-Vanderbilt
Jordan Matthews is a distant cousin of Jerry Rice. Matthews has good size and decent speed but will struggle getting off the line until he learns the pro game.
27 New Orleans Saints Stephon Tuitt DE- Notre Dame
Tuitt is a beast who can play in a 4-3 or 3-4 defense and will make the Saints happy they picked him here.
28 Carolina Panthers Antonio Richardson OT- Tennessee
Richardson may be a reach here and rumor has it the Panthers are looking at wide receivers. But whether or not Jordan Gross comes back the Panthers need offensive tackles.
29 Houston Texans Jake Amaro TE- Texas Tech
The Texans give Bridgewater a nice target in Amaro, tight ends are like mothers milk to young quarterbacks.
30 New England Patriots Colt Lyerla TE- Oregon
With one tight end in prison and one hurt all the time the Patriots offense really suffered. Lyerla will help solve that problem in a big way.
31 Denver Broncos Jason Verrett CB- TCU
Verrett will help replace Champ Bailey who will probably retire.
Russell Wilson gets a much needed wide receiver in a draft that is loaded with good ones.
